The Venice Lido, where the 39th Congress will take place, is located about 10 km away from Marco Polo Airport, and about 5 km from Santa Lucia Train Station in Venice. From the train station, fast boats to Lido (35 min trip) leave every 10 min. From San Marco Square Lido is reached by regular boats (once every 5 min during the day, and once every 20 min at night time). Trip lasts about 12 min.

Reaching Venice

By train:
Venice can be reached by Eurostar trains, Intercity trains, Interregionali and Local trains from all over Europe.  The Santa Lucia Railway station is central to the city:  in front of the the railway station you will find the stops of the diverse boat lines (vaporettos) run by the ACTV. They take you all over the city and to outreaching islands such as the Lido.  Private taxi boats - faster but much more expensive - are another possibility. They can be found in front of the train station as well.

The trip takes about 45 min.
