Ongoing long-term monitoring programs
* HarmoNIA Transnational Cooperation Interegg Adrion (2014-2020) on data quality control. Monitoring of plastics in Adriatic Sea; development of alternative trawl gear and pilot projects for sustainable fishing of coastal resources; restoration of seagrass meadows in the Northern Lagoon of Venice through widespread transplantation and monitoring of the conservation status and ecological quality of the restored habitat. Using C and N stable isotopes to: evaluate the species trophc levels; identify different sources of eutrophication; for traceability of fishery products; for screening of plastics and their degradation in aquatic systems. Development of methodologies for screening emerging contaminants in transitional and marine systems
