* This station belongs to the MARS Network: the European Network of Marine Research Institutes and Stations; 100 m², drinkable water pipe and a seawater circuit powered by a pump which draws the ater at a depth of 2,5 meters, with a 12 liters for minute flow, weather station measuring in real-time air temperature, solar irradiance, rain rate, wind strenght and direction, floating wharf (8,30x2,40meters), used for the static immersion of metal and painted samples, anchored in the sea area in front of the station.
* W1M3A observing system: part of the network of deep ocean European observatories, moored in the middle of the Ligurian Sea, inside the area known as the "Cetaceans' Sanctuary" on the route between Genoa and Cape Corse, about 80 Km off the coast of Liguria where the water depth is about 1200 m, composed of two sub-systems, a large spar buoy (known as "ODAS Italia 1", 51 meter long and 12 tons weight) and a sub-surface mooring acquiring data from the ocean interior under the buoy and communicating with the main buoy by means of an acoustic link
